LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Interstate 15 traffic is slowing at the Nevada-California border, but vehicles are moving steadily as drivers head home after a long holiday weekend in Las Vegas.

Cameras near the Nevada-California border on I-15 showed southbound traffic moving just before 3 p.m. Nevada Department of Transportation traffic cameras were moving in the wind. After crossing the border, traffic has slowed down from Primm to a point several miles beyond the top of Mountain Pass.

It’s slow from there all the way to the Cima Road exit.

There’s no longer any slowdown associated with traffic exiting and entering from resorts at Primm, which have closed.

Southbound traffic was also slow coming out of Baker, and just before Barstow.

As traffic nears the L.A. area, it has now slowed down past Hesperia to Cajon Pass.

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada predicted peak travel between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
