Harvest for Heroes event benefits veterans
A community-driven fundraising event, Harvest for Heroes, hosted by local nonprofit Shelter to Soldier with Fox Point Farms and Dija Mara, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31 at Fox Point Farms, 1200 Fox Point Farms Lane. The event will feature a curated selection of bites from Dija Mara, a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, along with fresh, seasonal food from Fox Point Farms. A variety of local vendors will be there, each contributing a portion of proceeds to the nonprofit to provide trained service dogs for post-9/11 veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and other service-related injuries. Encinitas Wine + Food Festival
The Encinitas Wine + Food Festival returns to the coast for its 23rd annual celebration, inviting guests to sip, savor, and support one of North County’s most anticipated culinary events. Taking place Saturday, June 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (with VIP access beginning at 3 p.m.), the festival unfolds at the scenic Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, where ocean views set the stage for an afternoon centered on taste and purpose.Bringing together more than 50 food, wine, beer, and spirit vendors, the festival highlights a wide-ranging lineup of culinary talent alongside standout pours from regional and international producers.
Founded in 2005, the Encinitas Wine + Food Festival is an annual fundraising event produced by the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club in partnership with community leaders. Since its inception, the festival has raised more than $1.5 million for San Diego-area nonprofits, a news release stated.

Impact Coastal Alliance holds fashion fundraiser
The nonprofit, volunteer-run Impact Coastal Alliance (formerly Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito) will host a fundraiser with Cozzena Fashions featuring its new spring and summer collection from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 30 at 1540 Encinitas Blvd. A portion of sales benefit the nonprofit’s programs to support the community, including local students and victims of abuse. The Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association recently announced its 27th annual presentation of Encinitas Cruise Nights, including new and familiar car clubs and local live bands. The series is held on the third Thursday of the month through September, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Future Cruise Nights this year will be held on June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, and Sept. 17.There will be three half street closures located on F Street, G Street and H Street. The international coastal and ocean conservation group WILDCOAST will host the 14th annual Baja Bash on Saturday, June 13, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., to raise awareness and funds for marine protection and natural climate solutions initiatives.
