Diamondbacks at Giants picks and predictionsPrediction
Diamondbacks 5, Giants 4
The DIAMONDBACKS (-105) are a strong play based on their dominance against the Giants this season. However, be careful not to disregard Mahle. While he has had some uneven numbers, most of the poor work has come on the road. At home, he has given the Giants good innings, so tread lightly.
The Giants +1.5 (-190) is just a little too expensive for my liking, costing nearly 2 times your potential return. As part of a multi-leg parlay, that’s probably OK, but as a singular play, even with a promo or boost, it’s not worth it.
AVOID.
OVER 8 (-118) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play.
The Over is actually a risky play in San Francisco, even with the wind generally blowing out to the bay. The design of the park mitigates that wind a little bit, although the total has still gone high in 6 in a row at Oracle Park. Keep riding the wave until it crashes. The Over is 3-1 in the first 4 meetings between these teams, too.
