HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Nearly a week after a Honolulu judge sentenced a notorious road rage driver to seven years in prison, his victims in California said he did not get enough time there.
Two of the women attacked by Nathaniel Radimak, 39, held a press conference in Los Angeles Tuesday with their high-powered attorney, Gloria Allred, in which they thanked Hawaii’s justice system, and criticized their own.
With tears in her eyes, Vivian Romero detailed her violent encounter with Radimak while she was driving in West Hollywood in 2022.
“As I entered an alleyway, Mr. Radimak drove toward us. He rolled his window down and began shouting repeatedly, ‘back your f-ing car up, b*tch, back the f up,’” Romero said.
Recounting Radimak’s behavior became emotional for Romero, because her mother, Yolanda Romero, was in the car with her during the attack.
Yolanda Romero passed away on Monday night at the age of 97.
“I share this not only in her memory, but also for all victims of his rage,” Romero said.
Radimak was convicted of eight road rage crimes in California, where he was called the “Tesla road rage” driver.
He was sentenced to five years in prison, but was released on parole after serving less than one year because of time served and good behavior, according to Allred.
“He received no meaningful justice until he struck again in Hawaii and was convicted there,” Allred said.

After assaulting Diane Ung and her daughter in Kakaako last May while a baby was in their car, Oahu Circuit Court judge Clarissa Malinao sentenced Radimak to seven years in prison.
He has a year in credit for time served.
Beth Lamprecht, another California victim, said, “I feel that justice has finally been served.”
“By delivering a sentence that exceeded the prosecution’s request, the judge, thank you, sent a clear message that this continued behavior needs consequences,” she added.
Radimak’s parole in California expires in August.
“I was informed by a reliable source in the LA County District Attorney’s Office that they will not seek to extradite Mr. Radimak,” Allred added. “The criminal justice system in Los Angeles County has once again failed victims.”
HNN reached out to the LA County District Attorney’s Office for comment and are waiting to hear back.
