SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man died after being hit by a vehicle in south Sacramento early Wednesday morning.
Sacramento Police responded just before 4 a.m. to the 5500 block of Stockton Boulevard to the crash. First responders provided life-saving measures to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The roadways are closed on Stockton between Fruitridge Road and Lawrence Drive.
Police said the driver remained on the scene and DUI does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The department’s Major Collision Investigation unit has taken over the investigation.
