PONTIAC, Mich. – A 70-year-old Pontiac man is facing attempted murder charges after reportedly shooting his wife in the face.
David Lee Montgomery has been charged with assault with intent to murder and felony firearm in connection with the Saturday, May 23, shooting. He was denied bond.
Authorities said it happened during an argument. The bullet missed her carotid artery and struck her in the jaw. She is expected to recover.
The couple’s grandchildren were reportedly in the home at the time of the shooting.
