BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — CHP Mojave said three people were found to be allegedly under the influence during a checkpoint in Rosamond. Meanwhile, during the enforcement period under CHP Mojave, 10 people allegedly under the influence were arrested.

The California Highway Patrol said over the Memorial Day weekend CHP Mojave Area held a Sobriety/Driver License checkpoint in Rosamond.

CHP said they encountered three suspected impaired drivers during the course of the checkpoint. “We remind everyone that driving impaired is one of the most selfish decisions you can make,” said in a release.

CHP also initiated a statewide Holiday Enforcement Period for the Memorial Day weekend.

There were zero fatal crashes in Eastern Kern County.
