LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) — Thousands of Jeep drivers came through Jeff Davis Avenue on Thursday to pick up their passes for Jeepin’ the Coast 2026.
Registration day featured food trucks, vendors and live music.
Festivities continue throughout the weekend, including beach crawls, Jeep parades and Sunday service.

Jeepin’ the Coast started in 2018. Founder Jennifer Moran said the event has grown significantly since its first year.
“We’ve gone from tens to hundreds to thousands,” Moran said. “They are coming from everywhere. We’ve got people from all points. Every state has been represented here for the past two years.”
Shelley Piehet traveled from Louisiana for the event. She owns a hot pink Wrangler Sahara that she named Roza.
2025 was her first Jeepin’ the Coast. She said the southern hospitality of the event keeps her coming back.
“I had a few friends with me last year and I have my family and friends with me this year,” Piehet said. “I had to bring them back. It’s just so much fun.”

About 2,300 Jeep enthusiasts attended last year. Organizers hope to see that number pass 2,600 this year.
