Northbound Business 80 will close from Friday to early Sunday for bridge work, impacting routes from N Street to Exposition Boulevard, Caltrans reports.
SACRAMENTO, Calif — Northbound Business 80 will be closed for part of the weekend as transportation officials work on the American River Bridge Project.
The freeway will be closed from N Street to Exposition Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Sunday, according to Caltrans. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
A number of ramps and connectors will be closed for the project, which include:
Northbound P Street on-ramp Northbound J Street on-ramp Northbound E Street on-ramp eastbound U.S. Highway 50 to northbound Capital City Freeway/Business 80 connectorwestbound U.S. Highway 50 to northbound Capital City Freeway/Business 80 connector
During the closure, crews will apply a polyester concrete overlay to the bridge deck. The work is subject to change due to any weather, traffic or construction-related delays.
All southbound lanes on Business 80 will remain open.
