OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WFIE) – Oakland City University President Ron Dempsey says a donor is wiring money Monday.
He says it would be enough to cover the last two missed paychecks and the June 5 payroll as well.
President Dempsey emailed 14 News’ Emma Beck to say they are in the process of selling the Deaconess Clinic.
He says those proceeds would be a backup to cover the payroll.
“We have a signed purchase agreement approved by the trustees, but we have a level of due diligence to be conducted before the finalization of that sale,” said Dempsey.
As we told you, Deaconess says they plan to operate the clinic, no matter who owns the building.
President Dempsey says they have made arrangements for the processing of all transcript requests to resume Monday.
“We have processed numerous requests for transcripts. That service was interrupted this past Wednesday due to lack of staff,” he said.
