SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Police Department’s centralized technology hub assisted officers in tracking down a hit-and-run suspect who left another driver injured on May 10.
The police department posted a video on X, collected by its Real Time Information Center, depicting a red car driving recklessly at the intersection of Northgate Boulevard and Wisconsin Avenue, colliding with another vehicle, and then fleeing.

Investigators later found the 30-year-old suspect at a nearby hospital. He was arrested on multiple charges, such as a felony hit-and-run, reckless driving, and driving while his license was suspended/revoked.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“Reckless driving is entirely avoidable and endangers everyone,” the department wrote in the post. “Fleeing the scene of a collision you’re involved in is illegal and will not be tolerated. Crimes like this threaten our community, and we will continue to use the tools and resources available to identify suspects and ensure they are held accountable.”
