A San Francisco jury has convicted a 36-year-old man of robbery in connection with a violent attack and theft in SOMA last year, prosecutors said.

David Wallace was convicted of robbery and had a prior strike conviction, multiple prior felony convictions, prosecutors noted.
Wallace had also served prison terms and was on parole at the time of the offense, prosecutors said.

According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Wallace and two other men confronted a victim outside a corner store near Fifth and Shipley streets on Oct. 29, 2025.

Evidence presented at trial showed Wallace threw the victim to the ground, repeatedly punched and stomped him, and searched his pockets before taking his wallet and other belongings, the DA’s office said.

Wallace remains in custody. Sentencing is scheduled for June 17.
