Aki Buckson homered twice and Fred Buckson added a shot of his own, but it wasn’t enough for the San Rafael Pacifics in Saturday night’s 14-6 home loss to the Bakersfield Train Robbers at Albert Park.
The Pacifics fell behind 7-0 before Aki Buckson swatted a three-run homer over the left field fence in the bottom of the third inning. Fred Buckson connected for a solo shot in the fifth, and Aki Buckson cleared the centerfield fence in the eighth inning. Kyle Guerra’s RBI-single in the bottom of the ninth brought around Payton Rios, but the Pacifics’ rally effort could not gain any traction.
San Rafael (5-4) is 1-3 against Bakersfield (7-5) in the first month of the Pecos League season. The Pacifics are scheduled to play at Martinez at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
