The City of Los Angeles is hosting free girls golf clinics at all city golf courses throughout the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship in Los Angeles as part of her Games for All vision. 

Golf FORE Her, a Department of Recreation and Parks program, will offer 32 free girls golf clinics from June 4 to June 7 across ten city golf courses for girls between the ages of 7 and 17.

 

Golf FORE Her will be available at the following City Golf Courses: 

• Wilson & Harding Golf Course (Griffith Park)

• Roosevelt Golf Course (Griffith Park)

• Hansen Dam Golf Course (Adaptive course)

• Encino & Balboa Golf Course

• Woodley Lakes Golf Course

• Rancho Park Golf Course

• Penmar Golf Course

• Harbor Park Golf Course

“While Los Angeles is the center of the golf world during the U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship, our Games for All programming will open doors, strengthen community and inspire young women in every part of LA to see themselves on that fairway,” Mayor Karen Bass said. “We are turning a world-class sporting event into an opportunity for all Angelenos.”

The Golf FORE Her program serves as a direct pipeline to introduce underserved youth and families to the city’s golf courses and foster long-term engagement that provides the health, social and academic benefits tied to sports participation. 

By creating welcoming and inclusive community spaces, the program promotes gender equity while helping ensure the city’s golf courses reflect the diversity of Los Angeles communities. 

Bass’ Games for All vision is about approaching these events as more than sports spectacles and harnessing them to generate economic opportunities for businesses and workers, strengthen community pride and expand opportunity for all Angelenos long after these major sporting events. 

Beginning with the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship and the Golf FORE Her free golf clinics, Games for All then turns to the FIFA World  Cup 2026™, where Los Angeles will host eight matches and more than 100 free ‘Kick it in the Park’ activations throughout the city. 

Building toward the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, PlayLA is making free or low-cost sports programming available for families across the city.
