A man was shot multiple times in San Francisco as he walked past a group of strangers late Friday, police said.
Officers found the man with gunshot wounds near the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and California Street around 11:50 p.m., the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement. Paramedics arrived and took the man to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said the man had been walking by a group of strangers who may have been arguing when he heard a loud noise. The group fled the scene after the man realized he had been shot, police said.
