A San Leandro man died after an early Sunday shooting in downtown Oakland, police said.
Officers responded shortly after 2:45 a.m. May 31 to reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Harrison Street, the Oakland Police Department said.
They found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
Authorities have not released the man’s name, pending notification of his family. Police did not announce any arrests or release suspect information.
The department’s homicide unit is investigating.
