CALM Zoo shifts to summer hours, may close at noon on days topping 105 degrees

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Visitors planning a summer trip to CALM Zoo should expect seasonal schedule changes beginning this week.

The zoo is switching to its summer hours starting tomorrow. CALM will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will remain closed on Mondays.

Zoo officials said that on days when temperatures are forecast to reach more than 105 degrees, CALM will close early at noon for the safety of guests, staff and animals.
