After a record-breaking seventh season, “Love Island USA” returns with its eighth season
June 2 at 9 p.m., fans around the country will be tuning into the long-awaited premiere of the eighth season of “Love Island USA.”
Hosted by Ariana Madix of the equally dramatic “Vanderpump Rules,” “Love Island USA” follows a group of singles dropped into an extravagant villa in Fiji as they spend the summer pursuing romantic connections in an attempt to “couple up” and earn a $100,000 grand prize. Airing six days a week in real time, fans of the show can participate directly by voting for their favorite “islanders” and influencing who gets voted off via the show’s app. The show is complete with outlandish challenges intended to incite drama and put relationships to the test, making each episode an unforgettable experience.
Last year, the L.A. bar scene was transformed into the epicenter of the “Love Island” fandom, uniting passionate fans and shocking local bar owners with the show’s popularity. In preparation for the season eight premiere, these five spots are hosting watch parties with themed cocktails and bites for all fans, from diehards to newbies, hoping to get a taste of this outrageously dramatic and entertaining reality show.
