NEWPORT BEACH TV FEST
The Newport Beach TV Festival, presented by the Newport Beach Film Festival, will return for its second year to celebrate the achievements and artistry of the television industry. For four days, icons of the medium will be honored for their contributions. The schedule of events will also include cast reunions, screenings, and panels. “THE SOUND OF MUSIC”
The timeless musical, which was adapted into the popular 1965 film starring Julie Andrews, features memorable songs such as “Do-Re-Mi,” “Edelweiss,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and “My Favorite Things.” Watch Captain von Trapp and Maria’s heartwarming love story along with universal themes of resilience and the power of music. IRVINE NIGHTS: QUEEN NATION
One of the nation’s most beloved Queen tribute bands will put on a captivating concert experience, complete with accurate costumes and music from across the band’s catalog. Queen Nation is best known for its stunningly authentic portrayal of the band’s stage presence, vocals, and instrumentation. WINDBORNE’S THE MUSIC OF JOURNEY
Rock and classical music will collide for this dynamic performance of the music of Journey. The Pacific Symphony will be led by Principal Pops Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez as they perform alongside Windborne vocalist Juan Del Castillo. Complete with killer guitar solos, the performances will feature songs such as “Separate Ways,” “Open Arms,” and, of course, “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Windborne Music is known for producing popular rock music with orchestral backgrounds for a unique live performance experience. CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE
The 40th annual Huntington Beach Concours D’Elegance will transform Huntington Beach Central Park into a fantastic display of automobiles and motorcycles. The vehicles are from all around the world and include many different eras and styles. Saturday will be a collection of restomods, hot rods, custom cars, Japanese classics, and British vehicles. Sunday is dedicated to featured marques, including Ford, Shelby Cobra, Corvette, Ferrari, Vespa, and Ducati. Both days will include award shows and live performances. HERSHEY FELDER: THE PIANO AND ME
Hershey Felder earned acclaim for his portrayals of music geniuses on stage such as Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, but for this performance, he will appear as himself to tell his own life story. The live production will cover Felder’s childhood in Montreal as the child of Hungarian and Polish immigrants all the way through to his life as a professional stage performer. The music of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and more will serve as the soundtrack to Felder’s portrait of his life and career.
