One person was in custody in connection with a fatal stabbing Wednesday morning at a home in Tarzana.

The homicide investigation unfolded after a man called police to report that he killed a “man with sin,” LAPD sources told NBC4 Investigates. Details about the relationship between the two men, if any, were not immediately available.

Officers arrived at the home in the 19000 block of Erwin Street in the west San Fernando Valley community to find a man in his 80s suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he died.

Details about the man in custody and a motive for the stabbing were not immediately available.

Video from NewsChopper4 showed red crime scene tape in front of the residence and a SUV parked at the curb.
