A 21-year-old man from Arizona was in court in San Diego on Wednesday, accused of shooting his pregnant 17-year-old girlfriend in the head in Bay Park, killing her.

Prosecutors said Trevon Williams and Jariah E. — prosecutors decided to only use her last name since she was a minor — started dating in September 2025; they had an on-and-off relationship that was filled with domestic violence as well as violent threats to the victim and the pair’s unborn child.

The teen’s family rented an AirBnB for a vacation in San Diego vacation last weekend — and blocked Williams’ phone number, according to investigators.

Prosecutors said Williams found out where the victim’s family was staying and ordered took a five-hour Lyft ride from Arizona.

When he arrived, prosecutors said, Williams told the driver to drop him off a few doors down from the vacation home, then hid outside before ordering flowers to be delivered. He allegedly told the girl to come outside to get the flowers, but she came out with a family member.

Williams then ordered another delivery for a vase to lure the victim outside again, but alone this time, according to prosecutors.

“Now that she was alone, the defendant made his move and attacked her,” Deputy District Attorney Alex Lorens told the court on Wednesday. “He shot her one time in the side of the head, killing her.”

Lorens said after the shooting, Williams left the scene, changed clothes and hid in a nearby canyon.

“During this time, the defendant made an audio recording to a third party and said, quote, ‘I shot this b—- in the face on God,’ ” Lorens said. ” ‘I shot this b—- dead.’ ”

Police found Williams with a gun in his waistband that had an extended magazine that’s illegal in California but legal in Arizona.

The victim was pronounced dead; their baby was delivered at 32 weeks by emergency C-section. The child is in critical condition with minimal brain activity.

Williams faces life without parole or the death penalty. If his child dies, he could face more charges. He is due back in court next week.
