BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Mexican woman was sentenced to three years in prison for sexually exploiting a minor into prostitution in Bakersfield, said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Wednesday night.
Sharon Cristina Cruz-Wences was arrested by ICE Fresno officers on May 26, 2026, at the Central California Women’s Facility in Corona. Details about the crime are not yet available.

Cruz-Wences is detained pending a deportation decision, said officials.
