The FBI and Bakersfield police are responding to a bomb threat and hostage situation at a Chase Bank in downtown Bakersfield. Police said the suspect is holding multiple people hostage inside the bank, which has been the center of the unfolding situation since about 1 p.m. Authorities shared a photo of the scene and said the suspect is inside the bank with a number of community members and is refusing to let them leave the room.
