Following its $10.9 billion acquisition of Comerica, Fifth Third Bancorp is closing 75 branches it deems to be “overlapping” across Michigan. These shuttering locations consist of 55 former Comerica branches and 20 existing Fifth Third branches.
Locations are expected to be closed by the Labor Day weekend. Most of the affected locations have another Fifth Third branch within one mile, according to Fifth Third.
