Getting together for a glass of wine with a friend may prompt all sorts of provocative chitchat, with conversation-starters touching upon current events, random stories from your pasts, and future plans that may or may not be a little outlandish.

There are few places as powerful in the whole cool-conversation-starting arena as a museum, and if it happens to contain all sorts of wondrous exhibits detailing physics, geology, and the splendid spectrum of scientific pursuits?

That back-and-forth with your bestie as you stroll by the displays is sure to flow.

It makes sparkling sense to book a major wine event in a major museum devoted to all sorts of fantastic, eons-spanning facts, and Uncorked LA has done just that: The summer version of the 21-plus party is landing at the California Science Center June 6.

The “unforgettable night of wine, science, and good vibes” will spotlight over 100 vinos from near and much, much further, with bubbly wine also getting its moment.

Food trucks will be nearby, and DJ music will up the atmosphere, an atmosphere that will already be vibrant thanks to the chance to wander the center after hours.

That does sound like a novel or storybook, but sometimes life gives us a chance to live out a daydream or two.

The evening’s beneficiary? It’s the K9 Youth Alliance, a nonprofit organization that “… empowers youth and enriches the lives of shelter dogs through the human-canine bond!”

General admission tickets start at $70; Early Admission and a VIP option are other ticketing choices.
