FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Fire Department hosted an operations course in preparation for what is expected to be an active fire season.
The course included live-fire training exercises to enhance tactical skills used to slow or stop the spread of wildland fires.
The operations will help reduce hazardous annual grass fuel loading in the area.
Firefighters attending the course represent agencies from across California, ranging from the Bay Area to Southern California.
All training was conducted under strict safety protocols.
