The Cubs bounced back from a blowout loss in the series opener to win 3-2 in 10 innings on Saturday afternoon. The Cubs were on the verge of losing again, but Pete Crow-Armstong hit a game-tying two-out home run in the bottom of the ninth. The Cubs then won the game in the bottom of the 10th on a single and an error by Victor Bericoto. The win pushed their record to 34-31 on the season and has them in a third place tie with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Central. The Cubs will send Jameson Taillon to the mound in the final game of the series on Sunday. He comes into the game 2-5 with a 5.13 ERA on the season. He pitched well in his last start, as he gave up just two runs on six hits in 6.1 innings against the Athletics. The Cubs would lose the game 2-1, though.
