Five Alameda County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were stolen in Oakland Sunday morning, according to authorities. The sheriff’s office said they were able to recover four of them and are now looking for the fifth.

The sheriff’s office said personnel discovered that the Alameda County Parking Garage at 165 13th Street in Oakland was burglarized at 7:16 a.m., and five sheriff’s vehicles were stolen.

Officials said investigators were able to recover four, but a fifth remains outstanding. They described the vehicle as a 2025 blue Ford Explorer, California exempt license plate 1685265.

Authorities said the vehicle is equipped with a back front push-bar bumper, overhead emergency lighting, sirens and radio equipment. They added the vehicle is not marked with the sheriff’s insignia or emblems.

The sheriff’s office warns the public to be cautious if they are approached by people claiming to be law enforcement in the described vehicle, given that there is emergency equipment in it. They ask anyone concerned to call 911 or their local law enforcement agency to verify the officer’s identity and the vehicle involved.
