Results of California’s June 2 primary election continue to be tallied, with ballots still to be counted. An estimated three million ballots remain uncounted statewide, according to the California Secretary of State’s office.

As of 9 p.m. Sunday, June 7, the estimate of outstanding ballots to be processed in Los Angeles County is 368,180. See estimates below:

— Vote by Mail ballots (VBM): 355,000

— Conditional Voter Registration ballots: 11,340

— Provisional ballots: 1,840

The top two vote-getters move on to the general election regardless of party preference or whether one candidate receives a majority of all votes cast in the primary election.

The election will not be official until it is certified by the California Secretary of State on July 10.

In the race for the United States House of Representatives 27th District, incumbent U.S. Rep. George Whitesides will likely face off in November against Santa Clarita City Councilman Jason Gibbs.

In the race for the State Assembly, incumbant State Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo will likely face off against Rickey Tracy Hayes II.
