A man and woman were seriously injured in a Monday morning shooting at a medical office near a busy shopping district in San Jose, police said.
The victims were taken to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries, according to the San Jose Police Department.
“The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident,” police said.
It happened just before 10:15 a.m. at a non-emergency Kaiser medical office in the 5700 block of Cottle Road, according to police and an ABC7 report.
The office is located near a retail hub in the Village Oaks neighborhood south of downtown San Jose.
Police said people should avoid the area as officers investigate the incident, though there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
