(KRON) — For the first time in seven years, Ariana Grande is on a world tour. The pop icon’s first stop of 41 sold-out shows is in the Bay Area.
Fans inside a packed Oakland Arena on Saturday, June 6 were treated to opening night of “The Eternal Sunshine Tour.” The Bay Area got the first look at the tour’s production and dibs on tour merchandise.

Grande, who turns 33 on June 26, is one of this generation’s biggest names in music with billions of streams and millions of albums sold worldwide. The singer-actress is among the most-followed people on Instagram with more than 363 million followers.
She is coming off back-to-back box office successes after starring in both “Wicked” (2024) and “Wicked: For Good” (2025) — a role that earned her an Oscar nomination. Grande is back on the big screen in November, co-starring in “Focker-in-Law” with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
Grande is next scheduled to perform Tuesday and Wednesday at Oakland Arena before heading to Los Angeles this weekend for five more sold-out shows.
“Petal,” her eighth studio album, is set to be released on July 31.
