Re “Ruling imperils Santee project” (June 7): This ruling was met with a huge sigh of relief by me and no doubt by others who believe not every single acre of SoCal land needs to be paved over and developed. Would it be out of the realm to suggest — to hope! — that this large parcel could somehow be made part of an open plan, to become a park or a preserve, or even a donation to The Nature Conservancy? Let’s strive to keep some part of this area the way it was, and try to remember: There’s no more land being created!
