House races are coming into clearer focus in California, a state critical to Democrats’ bid to flip control of the tightly divided chamber.

Matchups are now set in four newly-drawn congressional districts that will be among the most highly contested across the country this fall, even as the state continues a drawn-out process of tallying votes and determining the top two finishers in June 2 primaries that were conducted mostly by mail.
