(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: A road in Austin is now open to all traffic after closing due to a fatal crash early Thursday morning.
Austin Police Department closed the road around 4 a.m. after the crash, according to a social media post. The road reopened at about 6:50 a.m.
ABC 6 is working to learn more about what led up to the crash and who was involved.

Multiple agencies are responding to a fatal crash in Austin, the city’s police department said on Facebook early Thursday morning.
Austin Police said the crash on Oakland Place SE, between 10th Street and 11th Street SE is fatal. The road is expected to be closed until further notice, officials said.
Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area and plan on taking a different route during their morning commutes.
