Traffic was severely backed up Thursday morning on Interstate 15 in North County San Diego after a deadly crash.
All lanes of northbound Interstate 15 near state Route 76 were shut down at about 6:30 a.m. for the investigation into the crash, the California Highway Patrol said. It was unclear how long the closure would last.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
