WASHINGTON (TNND) — Vice President JD Vance will be a guest on “The View” next week where he will discuss his book called, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”

Vance will appear on “The View” on June 16, according to a report from Variety.

He will be joined by all six co-hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Vance’s appearance comes amid the Trump administration’s battle with Disney over licensing renewals for all the ABC TV stations.

Last month, Disney requested that the Federal Communications Commission exempt “The View” from the equal time rule for broadcast shows.

“Disney argues that The View qualifies as ‘bona fide news’ under the law, comparing itself to Meet The Press or Face The Nation,” FCC Chairman Brendan Carr wrote on X.

“Therefore, Disney argues, it can have one partisan candidate for office on The View while denying equal opportunities to all others. The FCC is now seeking public comment on Disney’s request to be labeled as ‘bona fide news.’ Is The View a ‘bona fide news interview program’?”
