Fresno State will welcome 270 incoming first-generation students June 15-18 for its second annual LaunchPad: Bulldog Bound Freshman Success Camp, a program designed to ease the transition to college.

Held in partnership with Fresno Unified, Golden Plains Unified and Parlier Unified school districts, the four-day orientation helps students prepare for college before the fall semester through academic, financial and social support. Participants will receive support with course registration, financial aid resources and academic advising while building connections with fellow future Bulldogs.

The program includes recreation activities, obstacle courses, team-building challenges and a closing celebration where students design graduation caps, share goals and sign a commemorative banner.

Bulldog Bound provides students in participating school districts with a guaranteed pathway to Fresno State, provided they meet California State University admissions requirements. The program supports students as early as ninth grade.

Through Bulldog Bound, students can access Fresno State ID cards, email accounts, library resources, financial aid guidance, scholarship opportunities and summer campus experiences. The initiative is available to students from grades 9-12 from participating school districts across the Central Valley.
