Inside California Politics: Governor’s primary race results, state budget process

(INSIDE CALIFORNIA POLITICS) — This week Inside California Politics’ Eytan Wallace is joined by a number of guests to discuss everything from the governor’s race to the state budget to the gas tax.

California’s 2026 primary is over and we know which candidates are advancing in most races. Founder of Stutzman Public Affairs Rob Stutzman and North State Regional Director for California Young Democrats Evan Cragin discuss Republican Steve Hilton’s odds of beating a Democrat in California in 2026.

Then, lobbyist and adjunct professor at the McGeorge School of Law Chris Micheli joins the show to give insight into the state’s ongoing budget process. The legislature only has a few days left to pass a budget before the constitutional deadline.
