OBITUARY
Jovie Diaz, 93 years old from Long Beach, CA, passed away on June 8, 2026. Jovie, born in San Pedro, was a beloved wife of 67 years to Tony Sr., who predeceased her in 2019. A Seamstress Extraordinaire, Camp Fire Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Creative cook, Homemaker, and “Grammy” to 7 grandchildren: Jenna (Edgar), Shannon (Carolyn) Diaz-Nguyen and Dr. Michael (Stephen) Diaz; Marisa (Cody) Den-Beste and Nicholas Diaz; Taylor (Michelle) and Jeffrey (Natalie) Hastings, and 5 + 8/9 great-grandchildren: Sullivan and Montgomery Hastings; Sadie and Graham Hastings; Colt Diaz-Nguyen, and BABY Diaz Den-Beste.
MOM is also survived by her 2 sons: Tony and wife Cyndy, Phil and wife Trish, and daughter Cathy Hastings, her sister Connie Medina, along with her many nieces, and nephews. Services will be held at All Souls Catholic Mortuary in Long Beach with the Rosary at 9:00AM on Tuesday, June 23rd as well as the Funeral Mass with the Celebration of Life on at 11 AM.
