A 19-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch neighborhood Monday.
The man was riding a 2021 Honda motorcycle eastbound in the fast lane of 10000 Carroll Canyon Road when, for unknown reasons, he struck the back of another vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Monday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the other driver fled the scene before emergency responders arrived. A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
A passerby discovered the downed motorcyclist and called for help. Emergency units responded to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
