OAKLAND — Police said that a 41-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday morning while driving a Tesla in a residential neighborhood along Seminary Avenue, near International Boulevard.
The man’s name was not immediately released. Authorities said he had addresses in San Francisco, San Leandro and Hayward.
The shooting occurred about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Seminary, and the shots came from somewhere outside the car, Oakland police said. The man was declared dead at the scene.
Homicide investigators are still trying to determine what brought the man to that neighborhood and a motive for the shooting. No suspects are in custody.
The man’s death marks the 24th homicide in Oakland in 2026. On the same date last year, there had been 35 homicides.
