Motorcyclist dies in Interstate 80 crash in Sacramento; major traffic delays reported

A motorcyclist died after a crash on eastbound Interstate 80 in north Sacramento on Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said. The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. east of Norwood Avenue. CHP said the motorcycle rider was unable to stop before rear-ending a vehicle during stop-and-go traffic. The rider was ejected and thrown into the path of another vehicle. Three lanes are closed, leaving cars to move through the no. 1 lane and center divider, CHP said.
