The Long Beach Walls and Art Renzei mural festival returned last week – transforming empty walls across Long Beach into creative, vibrant murals.
The11th iteration of the event took place from June 8 to Saturday, June 13. Produced once again by Creative Class Collective, this year’s theme was “Art Beyond Walls,” marking the festival’s entry into its next decade by expanding beyond traditional building facades to iconic city landmarks, such as the Queen Mary’s Stern Entrance Tower, according to a press release.

Over the past decade, the Long Beach Walls and Art Renzei festival has brought more than 200 international and local artists to create 150-plus murals across more than 40 square miles of the city, officials said.
This year was no exception. In addition to the Queen Mary, muralists added new art to Renaissance High School, Cesar Chavez Elementary School, Hyatt Regency Hotel and the Terrace Theater Plaza.

Elizabeth Munzón and Ms. Yellow at Cesar Chavez Elementary, 730 W. Third St.
Animalitoland at Renaissance High School, 800 Locust Ave.
Huntz Liu at the Terrace Theater Plaza west wall, 66 Collins Way.
Bamboo Yang and Bublegum at Hyatt Regency, 200 S. Pine Ave.
Adry Del Rocio at the Queen Mary Stern Entrance Tower, 1126 Queens Highway.
