Re “San Diego transit commuters brace for pain with coming fare hikes” (June 13): The San Diego Association of Governments keeps complaining about being short of money. Here is an idea: Get rid of all those huge transportation buses that are mostly running empty and exchange them for smaller buses that can save money in operating costs and fuel. Yes, keep large ones for routes that have large ridership. Solutions are so simple!
