Dr. Rhonda Kalasho is the founder and chief executive of TruGlo Modern Dental in La Jolla, meaning her role extends far beyond simply practicing dentistry, she says.
“I’m deeply involved in clinical innovation, patient experience, team development and continuing to push our company toward the future of modern dental medicine,” Kalasho said. “Day to day, I spend a great deal of time personally interacting with patients, designing complex cosmetic and restorative cases, mentoring our clinical teams and helping educate patients on the newest advancements available in dentistry today.

Kalasho answered questions from the La Jolla Light about the practice.
Q. How and when did TruGlo Modern Dental begin, and what inspired the practice to open in La Jolla?
A. TruGlo Modern Dental was founded with a vision to completely modernize the dental experience, combining advanced technology, luxury-level patient care and highly personalized dentistry under one roof.
After building successful practices throughout Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills and Calabasas, we saw an opportunity to bring that same elevated standard of care to La Jolla. La Jolla felt like the perfect fit for our philosophy: health-conscious, quality-driven and appreciative of innovation.
