BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A months-long investigation after a shop on Rosedale Highway was robbed twice within a week led to 13 arrests, including four juveniles.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on February 3, 2026, an employee at Smoke Era, located in the 9500 block of Rosedale Highway, was robbed at gunpoint by four masked suspects who allegedly stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise.
Police said no suspects were identified at the time. Six days later, the store was robbed by five additional suspects.
KCSO said detectives in the Crimes Against Persons Division, with help from the Bakersfield Police Department Gang Suppression Unit, conducted a months-long investigation into these violent incidents, resulting in 13 arrests for robbery, conspiracy, and gang-related offenses.
