A newly renovated county park will be re-opening next week in Oak Park.
The ceremony from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, will include food, games and activities at Oak Park Woods at Shepherd Park, 24198 Church St.
The park is a partnership between the city and Oakland County Parks with an investment of almost $8 million in the 17-acre site.
The investment includes $2.5 million from the American Rescue Plan Act and $5.46 million from county parks’ capital improvement fund.
Renovations include pavilion and warming kitchen updates, a new restroom building, gathering and seating areas and a new play area.
