GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Gibson County Sheriff’s Office officials say a man is in jail after hitting multiple parked cars while intoxicated.
According to a press release, authorities were dispatched to the 400 block of East Cherry Street in Oakland City after receiving a 911 report of an accident with injuries.
Officials say the reporter told dispatch that someone driving an SUV had hit multiple parked vehicles and appeared intoxicated.
Upon arriving on scene, they found the SUV sideways in the roadway and three other damaged vehicles nearby.
The driver, later identified as Spencer Cannon of Winslow, showed signs of intoxication.
After a roadside investigation, Cannon was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
