3-year-old child struck by stray bullet in West Sacramento apartment, police say

A person was arrested after a 3-year-old child was struck by a stray bullet in a West Sacramento apartment on Friday afternoon, according to police. The West Sacramento Police Department said officers responded around 1:50 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 3400 block of Evergreen Circle. Police said the 3-year-old was struck by gunfire after a shot was fired through a wall from the apartment next door. The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said there are no additional suspects and it is not believed to be a targeted shooting. The shooting remains under investigation. A person was arrested after a 3-year-old child was struck by a stray bullet in a West Sacramento apartment on Friday afternoon, according to police.
The West Sacramento Police Department said officers responded around 1:50 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 3400 block of Evergreen Circle.
Police said the 3-year-old was struck by gunfire after a shot was fired through a wall from the apartment next door.
The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
