Traffic was expected to be heavy for several hours in Clairemont on Monday afternoon after a teen was shot in the leg in a shooting around 2:15 p.m. near Genesee Avenue and Mount Etna Drive, the San Diego Police Department said.
Police are searching for a suspect who fled, authorities said. No suspect description was immediately available.
Officers will remain at the scene. Authorities urge the public use alternate routes as the investigation continues, SDPD wrote in a post to X.
